Fay Elizabeth Mullins

Fay Elizabeth Rathman Mullins died July 11, 2020 at Brookdale Beckett Meadows in Austin. She was 92 years old. Fay was born June 25, 1928 in Burnet County to Robert Bartel Rathman and Mamie Marie Smith Rathman. She lived most of her life in Lampasas before moving to Austin in 2017. She was married to Voyda G. (Moon) Mullins from 1947 until his death in 1998. Fay graduated from Lampasas High School in 1946. She was a business partner with her husband as the Gulf Oil distributor in Lampasas County and a homemaker. She is survived by son James (Jim) Mullins of San Diego, California; daughter Elizabeth (Betsy) Blunk of Austin; granddaughter Addie Taylor and great grandchildren Katherine and Jamie Nichols, all of Austin, and sister, Ann Hughes, of Lampasas. She was preceded in death by brothers Raymond Floyd (Mike) Rathman (1925-1994) and John Anthony Rathman (1948-2013). Fay was a volunteer at the Lampasas Rollins-Brook Community Hospital (20 years service), and a member of the St. Mary's Episcopal Church Women, the County Extension Club, the Lampasas County Museum, and the Red Hat Society. Rather than flowers, remembrances can be made to the American Heart Association or St. Mary's Episcopal Church of Lampasas.
