Ernestine Wilson, 93 of Lampasas, TX died Sunday August 27, 2017 at Lampasas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 11, 1924 in Shamrock, TX the daughter of Claude Meek and Ruby (Faught) Meek. The family moved to this area when she was 12. Ernestine graduated from high school here and later married Duard Wilson. She was a member of Naruna Baptist Church, where she had served as church secretary. Ernestine loved to make people laugh. She was a hugger and she loved chocolate. She was also a member of the Nix Quilting Club, Eastern Star, Lake Victor Home Demonstration Club, Farm Bureau, Honorary FFA member. She loved young people. She never considered herself old and loved to dress stylishly. Her pearls and her cell phone were her trademark, which she always had with her. She loved facebook, where she had posted over 1200 pictures by herself! She always loved reading the comments people left. Ernestine had a wonderful laugh and a keen sense of humor. She was sassy and classy. She never met a stranger and if you ever talked to her for over 2 minutes in person, you were not leaving without a hug.   Survivors include: Sons; Rindle Wilson and wife Rosemary, Larry Wilson and wife Kathy. Daughter, Barbara Postel and husband Dale. Grandchildren; David Wilson (Janine), Melissa Barrington (Bryan), Sheila Brooks (David), Shelly Greenly (Kevin), Jason Wilson (Teri), Michelle Schlottman (Heath), Justin Wilson (Emily), L.C. Wilson, Kelsie Ray (Trenton Robertson), Samantha Tallent (Nolan), Becky Vest, Britney Gramer (Chris). Great-grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Kenneth Jr., Adam, Mara, Christopher, Andrew, Scott, Brooke, Kayla, Christopher, Matthew, Grace, Paul, Jacob, Kylee, Colton, Sterling, Lisa Marie, Chris, Dylan, Levi, Steven, Braylee, Landi, Kelbie. Great great-grandchildren; Tailynn and Khloe   Funeral service is Tuesday August 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Marcus Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Naruna Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Naruna Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
