Ernest Brewer, Jr.

Ernest Brewer Jr., 84, of Izoro, Texas died Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas.  Ernest was born on April 2, 1938, on the Leon River.  The son of Ernest Brewer Sr. and Nannie Lee.  He married Mary Irvilene Blakley on March 21, 1959, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lampasas, Texas.  Ernest was a Veteran, carpenter, rancher, and outdoorsman and loved tending to his children and grandchildren.  Ernest was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Teresa Swift, and husband, Russell; son, Stephen Leslie Brewer, and wife, Donna; grandchildren, James Swift and wife, Melissa, Jerrod Swift and wife, Cheyenne, Marshal Brewer and wife, Haylee, Joshua Brewer and wife, Brittany, Melissa Brewer, and Jason Booth; great-grandchildren, Blake, Riley, Baylee, Bentley, Jade, Jovi, Brayden, Brooklyn, Hunter, Avva, Jaylee, Abby; sisters, Louise Parr, and husband, James, Ann Wilson, Jan Paul and husband, Bill.

Ernest was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Irvilene Brewer on June 27, 2016; his parents; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Swift; great-granddaughter, Kenzie; sisters, Ofell Hill, Janie Parsons and brother, Elmer Brewer.

A rosary will be recited on Monday, October 17, 2022, at 6 pm at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapell followed by visitation.  Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church.  Burial will follow at Hillsdale Cemetery near Izoro, Texas.
