Elsie Druesdow Porter

Elsie Druesdow Porter, 87 of Lampasas, Texas died Saturday December 28, 2019 at University Village in Round Rock, TX. She was born March 27, 1932 in Taylor, Texas to parents Willie Druesdow and Jo Anna (Dornbush) Druesdow. She married James Robert (Jim Bob) Porter September 26, 1955 in Lampasas County. She was a devoted Christian wife and mother of three children. She lived in the same home for 51 years, while farming and ranching on the family ranch 10 miles west of town. Elsie always placed the needs of others before her own. She was truly “an angel of this earth”. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and country & western dancing. She is survived by; Son, James David Porter of McGregor Daughters; Brenda Porter Oestreich of Lampasas Betty Porter Renfro and husband Lynn of Belton 4 grandchildren; James Alden Oestreich of Ft. Worth, Augustus Blake Oestreich and wife Paige of Nacogdoches, Faith Elise Renfro, Lane Wilson Renfro And several nieces and nephews.   Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, by husband Jim Bob Porter, by siblings; Edna Shamard, Greta Smith, Carl Druesdow, Henry Druesdow, Annie Kopecky, Alice McCoury and Mary Kruse.   Graveside funeral service will be Monday December 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Nix Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Alzheimer’s Association.
