Ella Janice Dwyer, 79, of Copperas Cove passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in Round Rock. Graveside Services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 20, 2013 at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen, Texas. Visitation will be from 1-3 PM on Thursday at Scott's Funeral Home of Copperas Cove.
Janice was born on November 14, 1934 to the late Jess and Maxine Gerhard Shamblin in Skiatook, Oklahoma. She moved to McAllen at an early age and lived there until August of 1996, before moving to Houston and then to Copperas Cove in 1997. Janice married Robert Dwyer in 1955 and together they owned and operated The Embers Steakhouse for many years in McAllen. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Dwyer, Jr. and her son, Michael S. Dwyer.
Janice is survived by her daughters, Debra Diane Smith, Cheri Michelle English, Mellissa Dwyer; step children, Sharon Lynn Dwyer, Robert E. Dwyer III, David Dwyer; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
