Edna Charlene Kring, 90, of Kempner passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018, at 2:00 PM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 1 PM before the service at Scott’s Funeral Home in Copperas Cove.

Edna was born on March 6, 1928, in Aurora, Missouri to the late Charley and Maude Browning Shue. She graduated from high school in Verona, MO. Edna married Eldon Kring on April 1, 1948, in Eureka Springs, AR. While Eldon served in the Army, they traveled all over the world until he retired in 1971. They settled in Kempner and enjoyed raising cattle and living the country life. Edna retired from Civil Service in the mid-1980's after nearly 30 years of service. She enjoyed ceramics and collecting depression glass. Edna also loved all kinds of animals and raised white doves but loved her dogs immensely.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Kring; sisters, Janette Bandy and Velma Tiede.

Edna is survived by her son, David Kring and wife, Sharon of Sherman, TX; grandson Geoffrey Kring and wife, Lauren of Pottsboro, TX; three nephews and one niece.
