C. Shroyer, 79 of Lampasas, Texas died Thursday June 25, 2020 at Arbor House in Marble Falls. He was born September 12, 1940 in Lampasas to parents Charles Elza Shroyer and Willie Anna (Schooley) Shroyer. E. C graduated from Lampasas High School in 1959. He joined the U. S. Army and after basic training served 4 years at the Pentagon. He went to work after being discharged, for El Paso Natural Gas. His specialty was instrumentation. He eventually worked training staff in North Africa on how to use certain equipment. While living in Algeria E.C. and his family were given opportunities to travel extensively. He married Martha Jane Wooten and she preceded him in death in 1992. In 1995 he retired and moved back to the area and built a home. E. C. could fix anything and enjoyed doing for others. He loved riding motorcycles and working on them. His was a member of First Baptist Church in Lampasas. He and Wanda Cox were married December 2011 in Cloudcroft,NM. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Cox-Shroyer Daughters, Elizabeth Shroyer Sally Lopez (Miguel) Son, Andrew Shroyer Step-sons, Scott Cox (Lesli), Tim Cox (Dana), Lance Cox (Shirley) 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren 5 step grandchildren and 3 step great-grandchildren Also by a host of friends including members of class of 1959. E.C. was preceded in death by his parents, by half brother, L.B. Hereford. A memorial graveside will be Wednesday July 1, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery. E.C.’s body will be cremated.
