Dorothy Sissie Orr

Dorothy Lanell Dalton-Orr “Sissie”, 70 of Lampasas, TX died Saturday March 16, 2019 at Rollins Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas surrounded by her family. She was born February 28, 1949 in Lampasas, TX to parents Olen Wayne Dalton and Dorothy Salina Eldridge. She met her soul mate James Michael Orr “Mike” in 1964 while he was serving in the army. They were soon married on November 14, 1964 in Lampasas. She retired from Austin ISD after 28 years of service. Sissie and Mike returned to Lampasas in 2015. She admired her family and kept them very close. She loved the beach, water, palm trees and Elvis. She is survived by husband, Mike Orr 2 children; Rhonda Orr-Stroud (Don Koger), Greg Orr (Dorothy) 4 grandchildren Four great-grandchildren Brother, Jay Dalton 6 half-brothers and one half- sister. Numerous nieces and nephews and cousins also survive.   She was preceded in death by her parents, by 2 brothers, Doyle Dalton and Kent Glen.    Funeral service will be Thursday March 21, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday March 20, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel.
