Dorothy Ann Carroll, 93, died March 10, 2020. Dorothy was born April 16, 1926 in Goliad, Texas to Eugene A. Perrin and Lois Kathleen (Brigham) Perrin. She attended school in Goliad and later Cameron and after high school graduation earned her Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Texas and her Master’s degree from Texas A&M. She married Fred Mitchell Carroll in January 1949. She taught school in Lometa, Midland, Cameron, Bryan and Lampasas. Her Pet Show was an event all the students looked forward to each year in Lampasas 2nd grade. She was a life-long Methodist Church member and sang in the choir for many years, taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School and was in UMW. Dorothy loved to travel and visited all the U.S. states, except for Hawaii because motor homes won’t float. Fred and Dorothy wintered in the Rio G. Valley and summered in Colorado. She was a member of the 36 Club, Lampasas Art Gallery. She loved traveling and gardening. Dorothy is survived by her beloved son and daughter; Stephen M. Carroll, Priscilla Wright and her husband Lowell 5 grandchildren 9 great grandchildren 1 great-great grandchild Brother, Dr. Robert Wayne Perrin And numerous nieces and nephews A visitation for Mrs. Carroll will be held Friday March 13, 2020 from 5pm – 7pm at Sneed Funeral Chapel. A Memorial service will be Saturday March 14, 2020 at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in Lampasas. Memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church in Lampasas, Providence Place in San Antonio, St. Jude Foundation or charity of your choice.
