Doris Nichols

Doris M. Nichols, age 90, of Copperas Cove, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021. Memorial graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 28, 2021, at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Doris was born on October 11, 1930, in Needham, Massachusetts. She graduated from high school in Randolph Massachusetts.  Doris married Fredrick J. Nichols on December 29, 1951, in Seattle, Oregon.

In 1976, they moved to Copperas Cove, TX.

Doris was a good mother, military wife and homemaker, she was a strong woman and a wonderful grandmother.  She loved to cook and knit and had many other talents.  She is loved dearly and will be greatly missed.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, in 2009; and her son-in-law, Michael Salimbeni, in 2021.

Doris is survived by her children, Leroy Nichols, and wife, Shirley, Susan Salimbeni, Tina Bonham and husband, Michael.  She has six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored.
