Doris R. Mouser, 93, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2024, at Copperas Cove Nursing and Rehab.
Graveside services will be held at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 10 am.
Doris was born on October 11, 1930, in Manor, TX to Henry R. and Georgia (Cameron) Hickman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Mouser; her daughter, Candy Lindsey (Clinton); her siblings, Jane, David, Florene, Lorene, and Henrietta as well as her daughter-in-law, Debby.
For most of her life she worked as a waitress in Austin, TX. She retired at the age of 75 to care for her mother and husband. Her hobbies included gardening, dog breeding, and shopping. She also loved sharing her special recipes and always made delicious food. She was very special and enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will forever be missed and loved by all.
Survivors include her daughters, Debra Scott (Warren), and Barbara Varnadore; her sons, Roy E. Trantham, Jr., and Rusty Trantham (Pam); her sister, June Jenson; her grandchildren, Troy "Lane" Tuggle, Jr., Warren "Conrad" Scott (Colleen), Brandon J. Scott, Charles F. Dodson (Shayla), Dawn Guerra (John), Millie Thompson, Brandy Bargsley (Austin), Tracy Gant, Austin Bell (Brandy), and Brandon Floyd; her great-grandchildren, John Michael Brown, Anniston Brown, Avery Brown, Jett Brown; her great-great-grandchildren, Emma Miller, Cash "Cowboy" Scott, Keyonna Dodson, Ashley Guerra (Jimmy), Amber Guerra (Eon), Breanna Mainard, Brittney Mainard, Krystal Barns (Ryan), Chris Lowery; 11 great-great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and all those who knew and loved her as "Nanny".
