Donald W. Knox, 70 of Lampasas, TX died March 2, 2019 at his residence. Don was born December 23, 1947 in Sherman, TX the son of C.C. “Skip” Knox and Josephine (Gomez) Knox. He grew up in Vernon, TX and moved with his parents during his junior year top Iowa Park, TX where he graduated in 1966. Don attended Midwestern University in Wichita Falls, TX and remained in Wichita Falls most of his adult life. For a number of years he managed a vehicle repair facility and later he managed a finance company in Wichita Falls and one in San Angelo. Don had moved back to Lampasas several years ago and had worked in the water purification industry with a firm out of Round Rock. Don enjoyed hunting and fishing and spent the first part of his life enjoying water sports and all outdoor activities. In his later years, Don became a spectator of all the activities that his great nephews and nieces took part in. He was their number one supporter and fan. Don loved to travel and for several years he worked for a corporation that facilitated this love as he traveled throughout the U.S. and several places overseas. Don is survived by a sister, Anita Hayward (Dennis) of Phoenix, AZ Brother, Rusty Knox (Sharon) of Lampasas County Numerous nieces and nephews Don was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Neal Knox.   A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday March 7, 2018 at First Street Church of Christ. The memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m.   Don’s body will be cremated
