Franklin Denson (Denny) Wilson, 73 of Lampasas, TX died Thursday December 6, 2018 at Lampasas Nursing and Rehab. He was born December 5, 1945 to Jay and Doris (Denson) Wilson in Briggs, TX. At an early age Denny was diagnosed with a genetic eye disease. That early diagnosis did not deter Denny from hunting, fishing and playing the sports that his friends all did. He graduated from Briggs High School in 1963 and attended trade school in Austin. He later moved to Houston and began working in a bank and moved up the position of Executive Vice President and branch manager. His declining vision caused him to take another job in sales for a lighting and fan company. With this new job came an introduction to a lovely lady that he would later marry, Gay Thomas. Denny moved back to Lampasas to help care for aging parents and was part of Community Church. Denny was devoted to God and family. He is survived by his wife, Gay Wilson of Lampasas Niece, Ashlee, sons; John and Josh, step-children, Kelly Steel, Lee Connor and Mike Conner. 3 sisters, on half brother and one half sister. Denny was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister Patsy and by an infant brother, James. Denny’s body will cremated and his remains buried near his mother at Mahomet Cemetery. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
