Denny Allen Henderson

Denny Allen Henderson, 55 of Lampasas, Texas died Monday November 20, 2017 at his home. Denny was born in Pasadena, CA June 6, 1962. He was raised by his Grandparents, Chester A. Henderson and Climmie (Odom) Henderson. He grew up in Lampasas and graduated from high school in 1981. Denny worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator. He had worked for Austin Road and Bridge, Odell Geer, Hatter Construction and David Smith Construction, and Lampasas County. He was a very talented blade man. He also served as Assistant Fire Chief for the Lampasas Volunteer Fire Department. He was a graduate of the Texas A&M Fire Fighting Academy. He loved Peterbilt trucks, and was a beloved member of the American Truck Historical Society, he loved Texas Rangers Baseball, trains and history.   Visitation will be Friday November 24, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be Saturday November 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Primitive Baptist Cemetery on South 183.   Survivors include wife, Tammi Henderson of Lampasas Son, Bryan Henderson and Chelsea Farr of Temple Granddaughter, Presley Sage Henderson Sisters; Debbie Busby (John) of Ft. Worth Mitzi McCabe (Richard) of Van Alstyne Brothers; Joe Kevin Munger of Van Alstyne Eddie Ivy of Dallas Aunt, Mitzi Wheeler (Charlie) of Dallas Step-father, David Munger of Van Alstyne Mother-in-law and father-in-law, Pat and Tracy Friedlander of Lampasas Numerous nieces and nephews also survive and many friends.     Denny was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him and by his biological mother, Vicky Sue Munger, by sister, Allie Jo Bagley and by brother, Bill Henderson.
