Delbert Matney

Delbert R. Matney, age 61, of Copperas Cove, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Delbert was born on October 9, 1955, in Andrews, Texas to the late Lavoy and Evelyn Johnson Matney. He attended high school in Lubbock before joining the United States Army in 1973. He served his country off and on until 1984. In August of 1994, he married Anita Walker Marsh in Copperas Cove. Delbert was a master fabricator and glazier working in Central Texas for many years.
Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters.
Delbert is survived by his wife, Anita Matney; children, Tyler Matney, Margaret Matney, Davey Walker, Rickey Walker; sisters, Tammy Davis and husband, Johnny, Shirley Collins and husband, Charles; brother, Doug Matney and wife, Cathy; sister-in-law, Sandi Krieger; grandchildren, Lillian Grace Matney, Logan Walker, and David Walker.
