David Osborne Bryant, 76 of Lampasas, TX died March 14, 2018 at his home. He was affectionately called Daddy B or Grampy. He was born June 7, 1941 in Lampasas, TX the son of Lawrence Bryant Sr. and Gussie Lee (Hughes). David grew up in Waco, TX. At age 12 he got sick and had to stay in a Tyler Hospital for about 2 years. At 14 the family moved back to Lampasas, where David graduated from Lampasas Colored School in 1958 and attended trade school. He became a licensed barber and cut hair in the community. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years. He was part owner and operator of Modern CLeaners. Later in life he became state ombudsman for local nursing home and he was a member of the Democratic Party and the Old Farts Club in Copperas Cove. He liked to cook, watch horse racing and fish. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He is survived by daughter, LaTonya Bryant 2 sons; David Bryant Jr. Vincent Bryant and wife Tracie Brothers; Lawrence Bryant Jr., Drake Bryant, Wilbur Bryant, Vernon Bland, Lindell Betts, Johnny Bland Sisters; Diana Brown Bryant, Arnetta Bagby Bryant, Patsy Bland, Linda Young, Minnie Hubbard Grandchildren; Devin, Damion, Laylah, BrooklynGreat-grandchild, Elijah Bryant Lifetime friend, Patricia Oldham and her children Chris and Angela He was preceded in death by his parents and by his nephew, Leslie Bagby.Viewing will be Friday March 23, 2018 from 9 am to 5 pm at the funeral home. Funeral service will be Saturday March 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
