David Abbey "The Tattoo Man”, 58, of Kempner passed away on November 8, 2013 in Temple. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Scott's Funeral Home in Copperas Cove. Vitiation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 5-7 PM.
Dave was born in San Antonio on June 22, 1955 to Dennis and Susie Casarez Abbey. He was raised in the San Antonio area and joined the United States Army in 1975 and served for 4 years at Ft. Hood. After his time in the service he owned his own tattoo shop in Killeen known as Dave's Master Tattooing. Dave was an awarding wining tattoo artist. He married April Alkire on January 27, 2010 in Florence, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Abbey; a daughter, Desiree' Abbey; and a brother, Dennis Abbey, Jr.
Dave is survived by his wife, April Abbey-Alkire; mother, Susie Abbey; children, Scott Abbey and wife Evelyn, Crystal Abbey Landry, Candace Abbey and husband Seth Richard, David Abbey, Jr. and wife Melissa, Austin Abbey and girlfriend Bailey, Addison Abbey, Dawson Abbey; sisters, Yolanda Galindo, Minnie Abbey, Dalfhina Ridely; brothers, Michael Abbey, Danny Abbey; and grandchildren, Gavin, Kadence, Julian, Bailey, Jacob, Hunter, Xavier, Josh and Kellsea.
