Darlene was born in Guam. As a child, she moved to Fayetteville, North Carolina, and graduated from Douglas Byrd High School. After high school, her love for family drew her back to Guam.
Darlene raised her family in Guam and worked at Astumbo Elementary to always be near her
children. They moved to Germany in 2001, then relocated to Texas in 2006. She then married her husband on August 8, 2012, in Killeen. Darlene worked a number of years in the Benefits Department at Central Texas College.
Darlene loved when her house was full of family, spending quality time and cooking together. She loved giving her attention to her grandbabies and giving them everything. She also loved to listen, dance, and sing to her Island Jams. She has very much enjoyed planting in her garden and seeing her plants come to life. She was a very Selfless woman who loved to make sure everyone, family or friend was taken care of before herself. Everyone loved her for who she was.
Last respects for Darlene will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Viss Family Funeral Home – 1614 South F.M. 116, Copperas Cove, TX 76522, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm followed by a Rosary.
