Daniel W. Bennett

Daniel Waykman Bennett, passed away in his home on February 19, 2022, at the age of 67 in Lampasas, TX.

Dan is survived by his two daughters, Kayla Ellason and wife Kristi Ellason, Ashleigh Buono and husband Rick Buono; brother, John Bennett and wife Beverly Bennett; grandchildren, Niko Ellason and Addisyn Ellason.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sherman Bennett, Marjory Winnell Bennett, and brother, Charles Michael Bennett.

Dan was born in Lampasas, TX on June 18, 1954, to Charles and Marjory Bennett.  He graduated in California from Santa Cruz High School in 1972.  He worked as a drug and alcohol counselor and with children as a house parent in the 80s and 90s and then was a dedicated long-haul truck driver for over 15 years.  He loved to fish, play guitar while listening to Rich Mullins, and watch sci-fi movies in his downtime.

There will be a private gathering on June 18 at his burial plot at Smith Cemetery in Kempner, Texas and all are welcome to join for the burial of the urn.
