Clovis Curley Brown

Clovis Deloris (Curley) Brown, 95 of Lampasas, Texas died Wednesday February 7, 2018 at Regal Healthcare in Lampasas. She was born October 14, 1922 in Oakalla, TX to Benjamin Culberson Langford and Cecil Devora (Roberts) Langford. Curley married Olan Adois Kendrick November 11, 1941and he preceded her in death in 1956. She later married Niel Brown February 14, 1971 and he preceded her in death in 2009. She graduated from high school in Oakalla in 1938 and went to beautician school in Austin. Curley worked as a beautician for 29 years in Lampasas. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, also belonged to American Legion Auxiliary, Extension Homemakers Club, Lampasas Business Women’s Club and Triple L. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Shannon Farcus and Gerald Daughter, Rena January Daughter-in-law, Teresa Kendrick Grandsons; Shane January, Parker Kendrick, Jason Kendrick Great-grandchildren; Lauren January and Blake January Step-son, Jimmy Brown and wife Karon Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins   She was preceded in death by her sister, Lovell Trussell, son Clint Kendrick and son-in-law, E.J. January. A visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday February 10, 2018 at the First Baptist Church. Funeral service begins at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Gillum Cemetery at Oakalla, TX. Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association   Sneed Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
