Clinton Jordan

January 12, 1948 — January 6, 2025

Clinton (CJ) Jordan, a remarkable gentleman and cherished member of his community, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025, just shy of his 77th birthday. Born on January 12, 1948, in the picturesque hills of West Virginia, CJ embarked on a journey traversing both life’s challenges and triumphs, leaving behind a legacy woven with love, laughter, and service.

A proud retired U.S. Army Veteran, CJ was adorned with numerous distinguished commendations throughout his military career. His commitment to serving his country was a testament to his character, marking him as a stalwart supporter of both community and military service persons. After retiring from the Army, he transitioned to a successful career as a salesperson, dedicating countless hours to nurturing relationships with local businesses. His keen wit, genuine honesty, and humor made him a cherished figure among colleagues and clients alike.

CJ had an undeniable passion for sports that ran as deep as his love for family. Whether he was at the racetrack, fervently cheering for his favorite drivers, or donning a referee's cap on the field, his enthusiasm for auto racing, football, softball, hockey, and more was infectious. His commitment to these sports was rivaled only by his devotion to community volunteerism, where he lent his time and energy to educating others both old and young.

Above all, CJ adored his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Gail Jordan, whose companionship was a bedrock of support throughout their years together. He leaves behind his daughter, Corie Agan and her family; his son, Charlie Bradford and his family; and an extended family that includes seven grandchildren and one great grandchild, that their laughter and joys were amongst his greatest treasures and moments. The bond he shared with his three sisters and one brother and stepfather was of great strength and growth throughout his life.

CJ's spirit was one that radiated warmth, kindness, and integrity. He was a man who knew how to bring a room to life with a humorous quip or a meaningful conversation. His ability to connect with children, especially his grandchildren and great grandchild, revealed the depths of his affection—he cherished their milestones and restful moments together, often sharing his love for sports and life lessons in every encounter.

To all who had the privilege of knowing him, CJ will be missed dearly. His impact on the community, the joy he brought to countless lives, and the unwavering support he provided to his family will resonate for generations to come. As we reflect on the memories made and the laughter shared, we celebrate a life well-lived, a soldier now at rest, a father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend whose legacy will continue to inspire and uplift.
