Chris Thurber, 67, of Copperas Cove, passed away on May 30th, 2021, in Killeen, Texas. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Chris Thurber was born in beautiful West Virginia to Colene and Karl Moore on July 26, 1953. Upon graduating high school, Chris joined the United States Army in 1971 and served during the Vietnam War.
He worked as a painter for RHL Inc. for many years.
Chris was an avid music lover and was the biggest Merle Haggard fan on Earth. He never met a person that wasn’t a friend. His whole world was about his only granddaughter, Vayda.
Chris is preceded in death by his parents, Colene and Karl Moore and his lifetime best friend, Jack Blakeney.
Chris is survived by his son, Justin Bravo and his wife, Neisha Bravo; several brothers and sisters; granddaughter, Vayda Bravo; Laura Morrow; The Blakeney Family; Amanda Speaker; Destiny Speaker; and numerous friends.
He will be greatly missed, but he left a legacy that is second to none. Fly High Dad.
