Cheryl Hollandsworth

Cheryl Jean Hollandsworth, age 69, of Copperas Cove, passed away on the morning of June 14, 2023. In following Cheryl’s wishes, there is no service planned at this time. The family will hold a private service at a later date.

Cheryl was born February 25, 1954, in El Paso, Texas, to Billy and Jane Fisher. She grew up and attended school in Copperas Cove. Cheryl went on to have a long career as a correctional officer and enjoyed gardening, shelling pecans, and spending time with her family.

Cheryl was preceded in death by; her husband, Edgar (Gene) Hollandsworth; father, Billy Fisher; mother, Jane Lightfoot; step-father E.F. (Cotton) Lightfoot; brother, Billy Fisher, Jr.; and grandson, Robert Henderson.

Cheryl is survived by: daughter, Donia Ecker and husband, Rick; daughter, Diana White; daughter, Laura Blackman and husband, Lott; grandsons Nick Henderson, Ted Henderson, Alex Henderson, and Thomas Blackman; great-grandchildren Norah Fleeman and Olliver Henderson; sister, Connie Sauer; and brother Callie Fisher and wife Vicki.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that remembrances be made in the form of contributions in Cheryl’s name to the USO.
