It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved friend Carolyn Sue Spangler. She died peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 27 after facing a cancer diagnosis with incredible strength and courage.
Sue was born on February 2, 1946 in Lafayette, Lousiana. She married the love of her life, Robert W. Spangler, on March 4, 1961. Together they resided in Flour Bluff and Kingsville before retiring in Burnet. Truly a devoted wife, Sue was a happy and proud homemaker. She will be remembered for her famous cookies, her kind and giving nature, and her quick comebacks.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sue is rejoicing their heavenly reunion.
She is survived by her family of friends, Jim and Jackie Lindeman, Maira and Victor Trejo, Katherine and Robert Springs, Sandra and Jerry Don Howe, and numerous others in the Delaware Springs community. She leaves behind Scooter, her sweet, loyal cat of twelve years.
We will forever be thankful to her friends Laura Rayner, Fannie Romero, and the entire team at Compassus for their help and compassion.
Following Sue's explicit directions, there will be no service. Her only wish was that we scatter her remains in the exact same place as Robert's at Twin Palms in Baffin Bay.
