Carmen L. Rogers

Carmen L. Rogers, 86, of Lampasas, passed away on Sunday in Temple.

A Rosary will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 6 pm with visitation to follow at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel.  Funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 2 pm with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. 

Carmen was born in Oglesby, TX to Eusebio Leos and Silvestre Quiroz.  She was employed with Motts in Lampasas for 20-plus years and then went to work with Lampasas Hardware for another 17 years before retiring and delivering flowers part-time with Jones Florist.  She loved to bake and garden and was known to take her children's friends in as if they were her own.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Rogers, and her brother, Benito Leos.

Survivors include her daughters, Denise Cooper and husband Greg of Teague, TX, Regina Love and husband Monte of Port Aransas, TX, Johnnie Downing and husband Chris of Guthrie Center, IA; son, John (Buck) Rogers II of Lampasas, TX; sisters, Esther Tombs of Waxahachie, TX, Teodora Pack and husband Tom of Madison, TN; brother, Frank Leos of McGregor, TX; grandchildren, Seth Cooper and wife Megan of Fairfield, TX, Zane Cooper of Temple, TX, Ryan Love of San Antonio, TX, Piper and Payson Downing of Guthrie Center, IA, Cade and Cazely Rogers of Lampasas, TX; great-grandchildren, Kenley Robinson, Waylen Cooper, Callum Cooper of Fairfield, TX and one great-grandchild on the way.
