Carlos was born on November 4, 1940, in Vicente Guerrero, Durango, Mexico to Agustin Jasso and Ventura Jasso Varela. Carlos, along with his wife Olga, raised their children in Central Texas, most of that time in Lometa, Texas. Carlos was a pillar in the community, and in his congregation. He was discerned in the ministry of Permanent Deacon of the Catholic Church in the Austin Diocese. He served proudly for St. Mary Catholic Church in Lampasas, and Good Shepherd Church in Lometa. He also served to assist many other churches throughout the Diocese of Austin and traveled where the Lord called on him. He worked many jobs in Lometa, finally retiring from the Lometa Independent School District where he gladly served and supported, receiving the award of "Hornet Pride" for his continued work and assistance.
Carlos married Olga Barrera in 1961 in Piedras Niegras, Coahuila, Mexico. They were happily married for 55 years. Carlos enjoyed all sports, but especially baseball, where he used his skills and knowledge to coach his sons and many kids and adults in the community. To this date, many still refer to him as "Coach Jasso". His legacy was clearly left in the hearts of many he coached.
