Carl Henry Wolfe, 41 of Kapolei, Hawaii passed away at Queen’s West Hospital on Sunday, August 31, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, September 15, 2014.Scott’s Funeral Home of Copperas Cove with burial following at 3:00 PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
Carl was born in Tacoma Park, Maryland on November 18, 1972 to Rose Elaine and Cecil Henry Wolfe. Upon graduation in 1990 from Austin High School in El Paso, Texas, Carl served in the United States Army for eight years. He served in Fort Gordon (Georgia), Corozal (Panama), Fort Huachuaca (Arizona) and U.S. Space Command in Fort Meade (Maryland) as a Satellite Network Controller. After his service in the Army, he attended Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. In the years that followed Carl worked as a government contractor, providing on-site training in Texas, Hawaii and Afghanistan.
Known for his positive outlook and as a man of many interests and talents, Carl enjoyed outdoor activities such as snowboarding, fishing, sailing, and hiking. He frequently challenged himself to learn some new skill like playing the guitar and drums and learning to fly.
Carl is survived by his wife Leslie Wolfe and her children, Dominick and Katherine; daughter, Lauren Wolfe-Petroff; parents, Cecil and Wendy Wolfe; sister, Kathy Martin; stepbrother, Zachary Hall; stepsister, Angelica Jewell; and was predeceased by his mother, Rose Wolfe.
