Billy Joe Peak

Billy Joe Peak, 59 of Lampasas passed away suddenly Friday August 25, 2017. He was born August 28, 1957 in Killeen, TX. Billy was raise in Lampasas by his grandparents, Mary and Raymond Powell. He loved sports and played football and basketball in high school. He was an avid golfer. Billy was a fine musician, singer, and song writer and played bass guitar with his band, “Rare Dog”, which he cherished. He put together and hosted many benefits for the community and never asked questions or for pay.   Survivors include: fiance`, Ann Hackler son, Dustin Peak and wife Kelci grandchildren; Devin and Dylan sisters; Carol Birkett and Nivia Jones   Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara Roberts and Joe Peak, by his son, Kevin Peak, by grandson, Jared Peak and by his beloved uncle Don Peak.   Funeral service is Saturday September 2, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Rick Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Nix Cemetery.
