Billy M. McKinney

Billy M. McKinney, 80 of Lampasas, TX died Tuesday July 24, 2018 at Spring Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lampasas.He was born November 15, 1937 in Kilgore to Owen Lee McKinney and Ruby Jewel (Reynolds) McKinney. Billy had a career in the grocery store business, working for Minyard Food Stores in Dallas, TX. He retired as store director after working for them for many years. Billy enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up and play sports. He was an avid sports fan of the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed fishing. He was raised Baptist. He is survived by 3 children; Steven McKinney of Lampasas Bill McKinney Jr. of Irving Vickey Pope of Irving Brother, Owen Lee McKinney Jr. of MO 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren also survive.   He was preceded in death by his son, Mark McKinney, granddaughter, Jessica, an infant sister Carolyn and by his brother, Robert.   A memorial service will be held Thursday August 9, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Memory Park 2823 E Marshall Ave in Longview, TX 75607.
