Billy Earl McCartney

Billy Earl McCartney, 68 of Kempner, TX died Tuesday February 13, 2018 at Rollins-Brook Community Hospital. Billy was born December 26, 1949 in Rayville, LA the son of James T. McCartney and Eva Mary (White) McCartney. He grew up in Frogmore, LA and graduated high school. He worked in the ship yard at Houma for many years and moved to Texas around 1978. He worked in Round Rock and Lake Travis areas for many years and later moved to Kempner, where he ran his own landscaping business. Billy loved organic gardening and raising chickens. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Reynolds McCartney Son, Donavon McCartney Step-son, Brandon Kimbley Step-daughters; Ashley Kimbley and Carolyn Kimbley Brothers; Jamie McCartney (Cathy), Less McCartney (Pam), Jess McCartney (Dena) Sister, Betty Book (Bud) Sister-in-law, Peggy Georgia Grandchildren; Laura, Kelly, Sean, Amber, Alejandro, Liana, Dominic Numerous nieces and nephews also   Billy was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Georgia, his parents and by 2 grandchildren, Cameron and Shawn A viewing is 1:00 p.m. Friday February 16, 2018 at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Billy’s body will be cremated following the viewing.
