Beverly D. Ide, 80, of Copperas Cove, TX and Richmondville, NY, passed away on October 20, 2014. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 25, at 2pm at Scott’s Funeral Home of Copperas Cove, TX.
Beverly was born on May 15, 1934 to the late Hiram and Marietta Hellijas Dauley in Warnerville, NY. She graduated from Richmondville High School in 1952. Beverly met Harry Ide in 1955 while he was serving in the US Army; they married on January 14, 1956 in Sharon Springs, NY. She supported her husband’s military career for 25 years. While raising their 3 children, she volunteered at numerous organizations in support of the local communities and the military installations where they were assigned. After coming to Ft. Hood and moving to Copperas Cove, Beverly continued to touch and help many people through her volunteer and church activities. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church as well as attended Grace United Methodist Church. Beverly was proceeded in death by her parents and her daughter, Marietta Frew.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Harry Ide; her daughter, Laura Peterson and her husband, Mark; her son, Russell Ide and his wife, Shirley; her son-in-law, Steven Frew; her sister, Janet Handy and her husband, Dennis; 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Beverly touched the lives of many people through her generosity, passion, warm personality, and genuine caring for the well-being of others.
