Bessie L. Flora, 77, of Copperas Cove passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014 in Harker Heights. Graveside Services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 31, 2014 at San Fernando Cemetery III in San Antonio, Texas. Visitation will be on Thursday at Scott's Funeral Home of Copperas Cove from 5-7 PM.
Bessie was born on January 15, 1937 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Elbert and Emma Ferry Cude. She grew up in the San Antonio, Texas area, spending many years there. Bessie graduated from Burbank High School. She then attended school at St. Phillips College graduating in 1974 as an LVN and went on to work at several nursing homes and at the Baptist Hospital. Bessie was a sweet woman who loved everyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Betty Joe Hoag and Berneice Smalley.
Bessie is survived by her sons, Alvin Flora and David Trojan; sisters, Nellie Heckart and Gladys Rock; brothers, Elbert K. Cude and Charles C. Cude; grandchildren, Brandon Clark, Jessica Jensen, Mellissa Walker, Emma Flora, and Tina Pina; and 16 great-grandchildren.
