Reverend Bert Allen Bronaugh, 82, of Lampasas, Texas died Monday March 30, 2020 at Seton Medical Center Harker Heights, TX. He was born January 12, 1938 to F.H. and Lela Bronaugh. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson HS in Dallas, TX, Austin College in Sherman, TX and Austin Presbyterian Seminary in 1962 where he received his Master of Divinity. Bert married Joyce on September 4, 1960. From that union three children were born, Bert Jr., JoBeth and Ann. Bert served as a Pastor throughout his 52-year ministry in Boldtville Presbyterian Church in San Antonio, joint parish Burnet and Marble Falls, Potosi, MO, Calvert City, KY, Ballinger, Big Spring, and Schulenburg. Bert was Moderator of Western Kentucky Presbytery. He honorably retired March 30, 2013 and moved to Lampasas. Bert served on the Ministerial Alliance in each town where he pastored. He began the Highland Lakes Chaplaincy Program. Throughout his many years of membership in the Rotary Club and Lion’s Club, he served as President and Newsletter Chairman. At time of death, Bert was a member of the Masonic Lodges in Lampasas and Burnet where he was Past Master and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Bronaugh Son Bert Bronaugh Jr. and wife Vonda Daughters JoBeth Zubkoff and Ann Gonzalez Grandchildren Bert III (Kristen), Wm Brandon (Kira), John, Lois, Steven (Erin), Tabetha (Bjorn), Suzanna (Mark), Jerry, Marianna Great-grandchildren Carter, Clara, Deacon, James, Mason, Wyatt Bert was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, John and son-in-law, Michael Zubkoff. Family graveside service will be Monday April 6, 2020 at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First Presbyterian Church, PO Box 782, Lampasas, Texas 76550.
