Barbara Ann Butler

Barbara Ann Finnell Butler, 76, passed away on June 4, 2023, in Temple, TX.

Barbara was born on September 11, 1946, in Lampasas, TX to Edward Finnell, Sr. and Susie Hamilton Finnell.  She graduated from Lampasas High School. Barbara married Eddie Butler and together they raised two sons.  Barbara was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.  She graduated from Shepherd's Memorial Hospital Nursing Program and worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.  She enjoyed reading novels, cooking for her friends and family, and shopping.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Sasha Butler and sister, Janice Burton.

Survivors include her sons, John Butler and wife Suzanne, Nakia Butler, and wife Lynette; brother, Ed Finnell and wife Mary; grandchildren, Dashawn Butler, Ashley Jones, Ayanna Butler, De'Jon Butler, Nakia Lee Butler, and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at 2 pm with a visitation from 1 pm to 2 pm prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
