Copperas Cove

Arthur Wayne Primas, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on October 24, 2023, in his hometown of Copperas Cove, Texas. He was born on January 12, 1947, in Doucette, Texas to loving parents.

After graduating from Henry T. Scott High School in Woodville, Texas, Arthur devoted 38 years of his life to serving his country in the United States Army. During his long and distinguished military career, he reached the esteemed rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4. He displayed unwavering dedication and commitment while serving in numerous conflict areas like the Vietnam War, Desert Storm, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. His selflessness and bravery will forever be remembered by those whose lives he touched and the soldiers he served with.

Outside of his military service, Arthur had a deep passion for the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were not merely hobbies for him; they were sources of solace and tranquility. He cherished spending time immersed in nature's beauty and took great pleasure in teaching his loved ones about the wonders of the outdoors.

Arthur was a kind-hearted family man who held close relationships with those he cherished most. He leaves behind a legacy that will be carried on by his wife Insuk Primas; sons Charles Primas and Art Primas Jr.; daughter Elizabeth Primas; sisters Shirley Chatham and Margaret K. Winfred; grandchildren Eric Antoniou, Max Primas, and Miles Primas.

In moments of joy or sadness, laughter or tears – Arthur's unwavering support proved invaluable to those around him. He was a pillar of strength, an anchor in times of trouble, and a source of unwavering love. Arthur's presence filled the lives of his family and friends with immeasurable warmth and joy.

The life of Arthur Wayne Primas came to an end due to a battle with cancer. Although he is no longer physically with us, his spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. His memory will be forever etched in our hearts, and the lessons he imparted will guide us through life's challenges.

A visitation to honor Arthur's life will be held on November 7, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Copperas Cove Location (1614 S FM 116, Copperas Cove, TX 76522). Following the visitation, a graveside service will take place from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery (11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Arthur's honor to a cancer research organization of your choice. Michelle Reed, Arthur's other daughter, also lost her battle with cancer.  By contributing to these organizations, we can work towards finding a cure for this devastating disease that took Arthur too soon.

Arthur Wayne Primas was more than just a name; he was a compassionate soul who brightened everyone's lives. He may have left us physically, but his spirit lingers on in our memories and stories shared. Let us remember him with laughter and love as we celebrate the remarkable life he led.
