Arta M Henry

Arta Meta Henry, 95 of Bartlett, TX died Saturday June 2, 2018 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple. She was born February 9, 1923 in Bartlett, Texas to Homer Dow Whitfield and Lola Bell (White) Whitfield. She married John Dean Henry and lived in Bartlett for many years. Arta was a homemaker for many years and after Homer graduated from High School she went to work for the local schools as a teacher’s aide. She retired from that after more than 20 years. She was a member of Florence First Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Homer Dean Henry and wife Bess of Round Rock Daughter, Barbara Daniel of Lampasas Grandchildren; Melanie, Sharon, Michael, Tricia, Angela, Roy and Debbie. 18 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren   She was preceded in death by her husband and a grandson, Jimmy.   Graveside funeral service will be Thursday June 7, 2018 at 10:30 a. m. at Florence Cemetery.
