Anna Victoria Davis, 87, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014 in Copperas Cove, Texas. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Copperas Cove with Pastor Mark Kemp officiating. Interment of her cremains will follow on May 8, 2014 in Yulee, Florida.
Anna was born on September 24, 1926 in Point Washington, Florida to the late Zachariah and Mary Hendrickson Kinsey. She was one of nine children. She graduated from Haines City High School in Haines City, Florida. On January 30, 1949, Anna married Benjamin Franklin Davis, Jr. in Leesburg, Florida. It was her pleasure to help Ben study as he attended Pharmacy School at the University of Florida. They were blessed with four children, two boys and two girls. Anna was a loving wife and a devoted mother. She was known for her hospitality and could be counted upon to provide a meal when any family had a need.
Anna was preceded in death by all of her brothers and sisters, her husband Benjamin Franklin Davis, Jr., and her daughter Lisa Jo Dison.
Anna is survived by her sons, Benjamin Franklin Davis, III and Gary Earnel Davis both of Copperas Cove; daughter, Martha Ann Strickland of Fernandina Beach, Florida; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Additionally she leaves behind three very special friends in Mrs. Julia, Pam, and Trish.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Children’s Building Fund at First Baptist Church of Copperas Cove.
