Amy Cantu

Amy Lynn Cantu, age 41, of Copperas Cove passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Memorial Baptist Church, 4001 W. Trimmier in Killeen, Texas.

Amy was born on September 12, 1978, in Gatesville to Billy and Peggy Walsh Summers. She graduated from Copperas Cove High School in 1997. She married Marcus Cantu on January 17, 2000, in Copperas Cove. Amy worked at various fast-food restaurants in Copperas Cove and worked at a local daycare for several years. In her spare time, she loved to needlepoint, watching the Dallas Cowboy, listening to country music and spending time with her three kids. She also loved to cook and going on walks.

Amy was preceded in death by her father, Bill Summers; uncle, Duck Summers; and her grandparents, Jake and Merle Summers.

Amy is survived by her husband, Marcus Cantu; children, Cheyenne Cantu, Carmen Cantu, Conrad Cantu; mother, Peggy Summers; brothers, James (Scooter) Summers, Scott Summer and a host of family and friends.
