Alton Batiste, Sr. was born in New Orleans, LA to Celestine Brown and Alton Wilson on September 25, 1965.
He went to Alcee Fortier High School and then served 22 years in the United States Army, retiring as a Staff Sergeant (E6). Alton had a love for good food, good music, and having a good time with family and friends. Additionally, a few of his favorite hobbies were fishing and cooking!
Alton is preceded in death by his mother, Celestine Brown, and his father, Alton Wilson, and wife, Vallry Batiste.
Survivors include his sons, Alton Batiste, Jr., and Melvin Batiste; his daughters, Britani Palmer Porter and Demetrius Bush; his sister, Delilah Milton; his brothers, Kimmie Milton and Cornell Batiste; his granddaughters, Serenity and Xoe Batiste and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family of Alton wishes to extend our sincere thanks to family and friends for all of their support.
Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Monday, January 13, 2025, from Noon until 2 pm. Graveside services will follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at 3 pm.
