Alice "Katy" Arndt

Alice K. Arndt, age 95, of Copperas Cove, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. No services are scheduled at this time.

Katy was born on February 15, 1925, to the late Jay and Mary Goodwin Johnston in Iowa. She grew up in Fairfield, Iowa where she attended school. Katy married the late John Arndt on July 30, 1947, after he returned from serving in WW II. Together they farmed land in Iowa and he also was a car salesman. In 1984, they moved to the Austin area, where they enjoyed the climate. Katy loved her part-time job as a crossing guard for the Austin School District and teaching water aerobics for many years. In 2013, they moved to Copperas Cove to be closer to family. Katy was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Austin and Holy Family Catholic in Copperas Cove.

Katy is survived by her children, Donna Whittenberger and husband, Donald, Patricia Millichap and husband, Martin, Michael Arndt and wife, Melanie, Robert Arndt and wife, Connie; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
