Alfredo Garcia Ii

Alfredo Leonardo Garcia II, age 49, from Austin, TX, passed away in June 2022.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, on August 6, 2022, at Viss Family Funeral Home, 1614 S FM 116, Copperas Cove, Texas 76522.

Al was born in San Antonio, TX to Gloria Gutierrez and Alfredo Garcia on May 30, 1973. He went to school in Somerset, TX and was married to Kimberly Herold for seven years. He worked as a CDL driver for eight years but first and foremost, he was a guitarist with a passion for music. Al’s passion was felt by many and impacted all of our hearts. He was also known for his wisdom, sense of humor, and friendliness. Al truly enjoyed making people laugh, spending time with family, and food!

Al proudly served in the United States Army from 1991-1997 as a 02T (Band), playing percussion and the guitar. He was honorably discharged as an E-5 (Sergeant) with ARCOM, AAM, NDSM COA, GCM, ASR, Noncommissioned Officer’s Professional Development Ribbon, and Expert Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle.

Alfredo was preceded in death by his father, Alfredo L. Garcia and sister, Josephine Felan.

He is survived by his daughter, Emily (Miguel) Garnica; Sisters, Sylvia Gomez and Stella Garcia; brother, Daniel (Edie) Garcia; granddaughter, Maria Garnica; nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
