Paula J. Deakin, 50, of Kempner passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 27, 2017, at Scott's Funeral Home of Copperas Cove. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
Paula was born on April 2, 1966, to James and Janette Wichman Hooten in Llano, Texas. She graduated from Copperas Cove High School in 1984. Paula attended Central Texas College and earned her RN degree. Paula married Gregory Deakin July 11, 1992, in Copperas Cove. She worked numerous odd jobs throughout her life, but what she loved most was being a mother to her children. Paula loved her animals and gardening. She was a member of the Copperas Cove Cove Church of Christ.
Paula is survived by her husband, Gregory Deakin; daughter, Cassandra Deakin and husband, Tyler Anderson; son, Ronald Deakin; parents, James and Janette Hooten; brother, Russell Hooten and wife, Charlene and two nieces, Ashley and Grace Hooten and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
