CSM (Ret) Thomas William Quinn, 67 of Lampasas, TX (formerly of Albany, OR) passed away Wednesday July 26, 2017 at home with family after bravely fighting his last battle with Agent Orange until the Lord took him home. Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday August 1, 2017 at Sneed Funeral Chapel with Father Paul Hudson officiating. Burial with full military honors and caisson will be held Monday August 7, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX. He was born October 10, 1949 in Albany, OR the son of John P. Quinn and Virginia (Whitaker) Quinn. He grew up in a small valley town with 4 brothers, one of whom was his identical twin Timothy William Quinn preceded him in death. He joined the Army in 1969, serving 2 combat tours in Vietnam with 173rd Abn and all his brothers in Casper Plt at the beginning of his career that would span 26 years and again in Desert Storm with the 4th 159th Avn Bn toward the end of his career. He retired at Ft. Hood as the 2 AD Avn Bde CSM in January 1995. He was awarded Legion of Merit, Bronze Star w 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Meritorious Service Medal w1 Oak Leaf, Air Medal Numeral 18, Army Commendation w 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal w 1 Oak Leaf, Republic Vietnam Campaign Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal. Survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda Miller Quinn Daughter, Brandi M. Lawson of Lampasas Son, MSGT Corey M. Quinn (Traci) stationed in Lakenheath AFB London England 3 grandsons; Casey Quinn (Shania) of Lebanon, MO Connor Quinn of Phoenix, AZ Tynan Lawson of Lampasas 3 brothers; John P. Quinn (Linda) of NV, Patrick J. Quinn (Gloria) of Albany, OR, Michael F. Quinn (Linda) of Albany, OR
