Wanda Beulah Turner, 91 of Lampasas, TX (formerly of Sonora) died Thursday July 27, 2017 at home. Wanda was born July 11, 1926 in Sonora, TX the daughter of R.V. “Pete” Cook and Beulah Alice (Turner) Cook. She graduated from Hardin-Simmons University with a teaching degree and taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade levels in Sonora for over 35 years. She loved all aspects of teaching, especially teaching students to read. She married Joseph Harold Turner and he preceded her in death in 1993. Wanda was a Christian, a member of the DRT, she loved reading, shopping, plants and doing family genealogy. She had lived in Lampasas for the last 20 years. Survivors include: Daughters; Margaret Alice Surles (Buddy) of Idaho Victoria Duhon (Cecil) of Lampasas Son, Ladd Turner of Lampasas Grandchildren; Lori Anne Konegni (John), Melissa Wilson (Jeff), Holly Graus (Todd), Alycen Lucy (Dusty), Lindsay Duhon, Courtney Young (Monty), Cori Campbell (Will), Jeremy Turner Great-grandchildren; Marshall (Jenna), Katey Grace, Kyle, Sydney, Rebekah, Gage, Lauren, Camryn, Kaitlyn, Braxton, Sutton, Whitley, Emori and Blake A graveside service will be held Sunday July 30, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.
