Matilda C. Martinez, 86 of Chicago, IL died July 1, 2017 in a Chicago hospital. She was born December 24, 1930 in Marlin, TX the daughter of Sabino Colunga and Eloisa (Estrada) Colunga. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She married Mike T. Martinez in September 1954. Survivors include: Brother, Librado Garza and wife Petra of Joshua, TX Children; Ramona Brenski and husband Michael of Rosepine, LA, Mike Martinez Jr and wife Maria of Ft Worth, TX and Teresa Martinez Duran of Chicago, IL. Grandchildren; Brandee Jo (Brenski) Weaver, Michael Brenski Jr., Christina M. Martinez, Sarah A. Martinez, Angelica M. Rodriguez, Nicolas A. Rodriguez, Daniel J. Rodriguez, Ernest Duran Jr. Great-grandchildren; Joel A. Weaver, Aubree C. Weaver, Michael Brenski III, Mason J. Brenski, Alex A. Borunda, Christopher M. Borunda, Michael A. Martinez. She was preceded in death by her husband and by 3 brothers; Ernest Garza, Cecil Garza and Joe Louis Garza. Rosary will recited Tuesday July 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held same day at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lampasas. Burial to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
