David Nunez Jr.

David Nunez Jr., 82 of Lampasas county, Texas died Monday June 12, 2017 at his home. David was born February 16, 1935 in Houston, Texas the son of David Nunez Sr. and Micaela (Gonzales) Nunez. He grew up in Houston and after graduating from high school, enrolled at the University of Houston. He was drafted into service and served 2 years in the U.S. Army. David worked in management of grocery stores for over 30 years. After retiring he began volunteering with Red Cross for about 10 years. David was a member of the Catholic Church. David moved to Lampasas in 1989. Rosary will be recited Wednesday June 14, 2017 at 6 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be Thursday June 15, 2017 at 10 a.m. at ST. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Pedro Castillo officiating. Burial will follow in Kempner Cemetery with military honors. Survivors include; Wife, Carol Nunez Daughters; Gloria Emami (Enayat) Michelle Fajardo Carol Cates (Chris) Son, Hector Flores Grandchildren; Ali Emami, Hussein Emami, Michelle Emami, Jason Emami, Farrah Emami, Ian Fajardo, Erica Fajardo, Emily Fajardo, Michelle Bennett, Blake Cates, Jesse James, Ashlynn Cates Great-grandchildren; Zoe Carman, Caden Brutus Sister, Hermelinda Armandariz (Robert) Brothers; Rudy, Robert, John, Thomas and wife Gloria, James Nunez. Sister-in-law, Abby Nunez David was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Charles. Arrangements by Sneed Funeral Chapel of Lampasas.
