Otha Mae Kirkpatrick, 94, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 21, 2017 in Lampasas, Tx. A visitation will be held Tues, May 23, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas,Tx. Funeral Services Wed, May 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. also at Sneed Funeral Chapel with Pastor Clay Cole officiating. Burial following at Watson Cemetery in Burnet County. Following the services a reception will be held at the home of Kenneth & Carolyn Tice and open to all who would love to celebrate the extraordinary life of Mrs. Kirkpatrick. Mrs. Kirkpatrick, one of 12 children, was born March 17, 1923 in Kempner, Tx to Dixie Yates Hale & James B Hale, She married the love of her life, Quentin R Kirkpatrick in 1941, a union that lasted 49yrs until his death in 1990. After the end of WW2, they relocated their growing family from the Kirkpatrick ranch in Burnet County to Houston, Tx. In 2010, she returned to the family ranch in Burnet county. During their 49 years of marriage they were blessed with 3 children, 3 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren,& 2 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Kirkpatrick is predeceased by her parents, her husband, a son-Michael, 5 brothers- Check, Buck, Bill, Son, & Fred Hale, & 2 sisters- Sis McCall & Clara Hill. She is survived by daughter & son-in-law- Carolyn & Kenneth Tice, son-Ronnie Kirkpatrick, grandchildren- Tanya & Pete Eskola, Melinda & Devin Van Nort, Christina & Shawn Kyle, great-grandchildren- Stephanie & Samuel Pecaro, Stephen & Ashlee Eskola, Megan & Casey Clark, Kirk Van Nort, Kayla Kyle, Ashley Van Nort, Brianna Kyle, & Nicholas Kyle, & great-great grandchildren- Josslyn Eskola & Aria Pecaro. She is also survived by 2 brothers- Herbert & Floyd Hale & 2 sisters- Ginger Fenner & Thelma Phillips, numerous nephews, nieces, and friends. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was a devoted member of Oakalla Baptist Church.
