Jack LaVaughan Patterson, 88 of Lometa, TX (formerly of Briggs) died Thursday February 9, 2017 at his home. Jack was born August 26, 1928 near Briggs the son of Marcus Earl Patterson and Molly Lenora (Caskey) Patterson. He had lived in Comanche, Austin, Georgetown and Briggs. He married Nora Faye Daniell and was a member of Briggs Baptist Church. Jack worked for Brown and Root in Haiti for about 3 years and then moved back to Briggs and bought land to far. He did custom farming for others too. He later worked for Pedernales Electric Cooperative, retiring after 22 years as Foreman. Jack was an avid hunter and collected barbed wire. Survivors are wife, Nora Faye Patterson of Lometa 2 sons; Marcus Patterson and wife Judy James Patterson Grandchildren; Mark Patterson and wife Laura, Lora Patterson, Jesse Patterson Jack was preceded in death by his parents and by his step-father, Dick Windsor. Visitation will be Friday February 10, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral service is Saturday February 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Briggs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Prairie View Cemetery near Briggs.
