Glenda Jane Scroggins

Glenda Jane (Marley) Scroggins, 64 of Bend, TX died February 4, 2017 at her home. Glenda was born October 23, 1952 in Fort Worth, TX the daughter of Glen C. Marley and Gladys Lee (Sitton) Marley. She married Dennis Lee Scroggins march 28, 1975 in Fort Worth. Glenda earned a Bachelor degree in Home Economics from University of North Texas. She later taught school for a number of years. Glenda later worked for the County of Lampasas as office clerk for Justice of Peace Pct 2-3 in Lometa. Glenda was a member of the Church of Christ, where she taught Bible class. She loved to entertain and host events. She left a recipe book for all of her children. She loved her grandkids. Survivors are husband, Dennis L. Scroggins of Bend 4 sons; Joshua Lee Scroggins and wife Jen of River Oaks Caleb A. Scroggins and wife Gena of Lampasas Quinton Scroggins and Thaddaeus Scroggins both of Kyle Daughter, Sandy Gary and husband Jeff of Burleson Brother, Ed Marley and wife Linda of Sulphur Springs Grandchildren; Thackery, Marley Jane, Rylee, Huxley, Brayton, Tennyson, Kipling, Kepler, Bronte, Krista, Jillyan and Conner Glenda was preceded in death by an infant son, Matthew Cornelius Scroggins in 1984 and by her parents and by her sister, Barbara Gene Jones. Visitation will be Thursday February 9, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral service is Friday February 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery at Bend, TX.
