Member of First Presbyterian Church in Lampasas, where she was a member of the choir and the Red Hat Society.
Joyce was a licensed vocational nurse for over 45 years, giving of her time and talent until the very end. Joyce had a servant’s heart, always thinking of others before herself. She took a position at the nursing home where her father lived so she could care for him herself. She gave her time freely to do for others whether it was a ride to an appointment or working in someone’s place for a holiday so her coworkers could be with their families. She even had a raffle to give away gifts to her guests at her own 70th birthday party!
Joyce was a voracious reader of all kinds of books and found comfort in prayer and reading her Bible. She was a vivacious, good natured woman who could laugh at any time, even at herself. Her heartfelt (and loud) laughter and serving spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be at 11:00a.m. Monday, December 26, 2016 at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will begin at noon.
